Can I contest an expert report?
An expert's report is normally drawn up by a doctor who is not a member of the insurance company that commissioned him. The expert is therefore presumed to be impartial and the probative value (the value of proof) of his report is important.
However, it is possible to question this probative value, for example, when one or more physicians make serious and substantiated criticisms of the report.
